New Heath book update

Gang,

Just a quick note to let you know that a new edition of Heathkit: A Guide
to the Amateur Radio Products will be out soon. I am aiming for November,
but it depends on who ends up as publisher. As you may know, ER has been
sold, so the issue of publisher is up in the air.

Proof copies of the new book will be mailed out soon to individuals who
have agreed to help shake out the last of the bugs.

The new book is about 315 pages, or about 65 pages larger than the
original. The new book features about 30 additional products, a tube
chart, a separate index for articles in ER, sales data, and an entirely
new section devoted to Heathkit citizen's  band radio products.

I have also replaced many of the photographs will better photos, and have
done some re-writing in the main section, and especially in the
"collecting" section.  Of course, all of the errata in the original has
been cleaned up as well.

No idea right now how much it will cost.
