Heath GR-64 Receiver Question

Hi,

I recently picked up a very clean GR-64 for nostalgia value, and noticed
that on this one the dial moves the opposite direction you'd expect when
turning the knob. I have the partial manual from BAMA, but nothing that
would provide a reference for the dial cord routing.

Dumb question- was it designed this way, or do I need to restring the dial
cord?
