I had a 100 when they first came out, and I have a 101
now. There's not a whole lot of difference.
The 101 has an improved tuning dial mechanism. Many
complained that the one in the 100 suffered from wobble
and backlash, although mine worked fine.
I don't think the 100 had a crystal filter. (So of course
there was no option to add an optional CW filter.)
According to the article _Restoring the HW-101_ in the
November 2001 issue of CQ, the circuit boards are
virtually identical among the SB-100, SB-101, SB-102,
HW-100, and HW-101.
