OT Magnavox speaker in table top cabinet

I recently picked up a Magnavox wooden speaker box that
has a very nice looking BIG coil electromagnet speaker inside.
The speaker has a paper cone that also looks in good shape.
There is a Selenium rectifier inside as well as a little envelope
labeled "spare fuse".  It is unopened.
This box looks like something that may be from the thirties or
later.
Anyone have any idea what it was originally paired with, or
any ideas?
