It is pretty hard, although not impossible to regulate
the B++ (800 volts).
Actually, there is not really any good reason to
regulate the B++ since it only supplies the plates of
the final amplifier tubes. The reason for regulating
the lower B+ is that this does help with things like
frequency stability.
Actually, if you regulate the plate current you are
going to have to reduce it to a point slightly below
the maximum voltage that it runs under load and this
will result primarily in more heat from whatever you
regulate the B++ with and less power from your
transceiver.
