If the unit was originally designed for the 6146B
tubes then you cannot run as much power with the 6146
/ 6146A / 8298 tubes. The 6146 / 6146A are designed
for a maximum CW input of 90 watts whereas the 6146B
is designed for 120 watts input CW. However, the 6146
/ 6146A series will work in place of the 6146B whereas
the opposite is not always true!

I don't know what you mean by "neutered". If you mean
neutralization, all 6146 series tubes need to be
neutralized when they are replaced. It doesn't matter
what "flavor"!

Can the 6146 & 6146A be used to readily replace the
6146B...without 'issues' ?...or must they also be
'neutered'?
