HW-12 "problem"

Hi all:

I need help.

I'm trying to bring back to life an HW-12.
It's been inop for over 10 years...and it looks it, too.

I got it ' working ' ...but not just right.

First, let me report that I just got a 15 over S9 about 600 miles away.

Nice...but...my HW-12 meter showed virtually no output nor meter movement in
" Operate Tune".

Also...while in Tune...my Forward on the SWR has to be set at the most
sensitive position to see any reading.

I have good output audio since the SWR meter in Forward jumps very nicely
showing some decent punch.

Lastly...I fried the RF choke on the high voltage B+...just like a fuse on
old fashion TNT...and even heard it hiss at me while I watched !
The RF choke on the +250 fried as well !!

Now, the replacement on the HV B+ is hissing again...that's when I shut it
down.

All help GREATLY appreciated.
