Hello, Fred and Group,
I bought a very clean SB-10 sideband adapter at the Belton, TX hamfest
a couple of years ago to go with my two TX-1 Apache transmitters
someday. Your post prompted me to open up my SB-10 to look it over.
Mine has the Barker & Williamson model 350 phase shifting module in the
socket, and it has the words "Type 2Q4" in a stamped black circle about
a half inch diameter on the top of the metal tube envelope. The
assembly manual on page 66 illustrates a black metal tubed phase shifter
like you described. My assembly manual is dated September, 1961.
