I thought he was talking about a high power amplifier.
I would not put a 250-300 ohm impedance across the output of a several
hunded to 1500 W output amplifier - it will draw some serious current...
2.5 mH is a high enough impedance that it prevents a significant load on the
output, as well as self-destructive.
1500 W across 50 ohms = approx 274 V. I wouldn't want 1 A of current thru a
protective shunt choke - I would want that going out to my antenna!
