Wein Bridge?

I believe the main attraction was that the design allows for easy
construction with standard parts. IIRC, Radio Electronics published a
design with very low distortion. I know Electronics Australia did. I
think both were loosely based on designs in Wireless World, possibly
by Linsley Hood.
