A bit off topic question

Randy and Aatos,
Right you are; the 3-500Z and 4-XXX families of tubes are intended for
base-down operation only. You might consider the 572-B / T-160-L tubes, but
stay with United Electric or Cetron. Not all of these tubes like being on
their sides [like 811As], and they must be run in a particular plane. The
Dentron Clipperton-L and Clipperton-QRO used the Cetron 572-B in a low
profile amplifier with great success.

According to the tube specification sheets, both tubes must be mounted
vertically, either right-side-up or upside-down. In short, the answer is
no--they should not be mounted horizontally.

Hello!
Does anyone knows based to experience,if 3-500Z
or equivalents including 4-400A,could installed in horisontal positions
securely without fear of future problems.
I am planning to homebrew one tube small boxed tiny amplifier for about
600Watts output, and I should like to know that surely before going on in the
project.
