Raspy audio in SB102

I'm bringing up an SB102 and notice that the receive audio is noticably raspy.  Has anyone ever seen this in
the SB100/101/102 or HW series of transceivers.  The audio tubes have already been swapped out with no change.
I'm thinking it could be something around the audio tubes or an AVC problem.  

Any ideas or experiences with this issue?
