Help w/HW-101

 Gentlemen,

  I have a HW-101 that has not been used much for the last couple of years.
I just recently put it back on line and the audio sound's distorted, sort
of like it has no agc. This is more apparent on ssb of course but when you
listen to cw for a while you realize it is not right either. It just has
that high pitched, tinny and raspy sound that to me always sounds like you
have turned the agc off on other rigs. Tx is working as it should. Any
ideas??  TIA
