Damaged During Shipping ?

Hi Guys.

Question.....I just received a heathkit SB-303 that was damaged during
shipping. the cardboard box was awful thin and to light for the job it was
given. Now who is responsible. !.

The front left corner was caved in ,needs a new front panel, 3 knobs bent.
transformer knock loose. and there was suppose to be a power cord so i can
use the radio. But of course the shipper said i put one in there some one
must have open the box and taken it out before it arrived to my location.
this was shipped by US Post Office by the way.

so i asked the sender for $30.00 dollars to help cover some of the damage. I
had paid $135.00 for the radio and shipping.
now of course the seller has stopped communicating with me. he is a member
of the list and i had bought off this list thing i would be treated
correctly.

any comments would be appreciated.                     thanks
