You don't even need to do that, really: my SB-301 here uses a homebrewed
SB-310-style wideband AM filter, which was built into an SB-300-style SSB
filter "can"...
I simply mounted this filter BENEATH the chassis---plenty of room there. To
retain it, I applied a couple of drops of silicine sealant as an adhesive.
Works like a charm to this very day! (the mod is well over two years old
now).
