SA 2040

The SA2040 and the SA2060 are not the same circuit. The SA2040 uses the
Transmatch which involves a split stator capacitor whereas the SA2060 is a
straight T network. QST ran several product review tests in recent years and
the T net work was always more efficient (meaning less loss).
Since your tuner has a burn-out metering circuit, why don't you just bypass
/ fix the metering? That's got to be easier than rebuilding the whole thing.

Subject: SA 2040
Does anyone out there have for sale the manual for an SA 2040 antenna tuner
or a copy of the schematic ? Your help would be gratefully appreciated.
Trying to convert a 2060A with a burned out metering circuit into a 2040, at
least save the tunable caps and the roller inductor. I know that the 2040
did not come with any metering circuits so I believe the conversion should
be possible. Will pay for copying and shipping. Thanks in advance;
