question on cell towers

Marty,

My guess, based on my experience, is that they are of no consequence at
all. I would bet that everything from the tower is over shooting you if
it is of any height at all.
I base this on the fact that when I am on my Nextel and get near a
Nextel tower, or on my Sprint and get near a Sprint tower, the signal
strength actually falls a great deal as the signal is directed toward
the horizon, not down.

I have seen some of the taller Nextel towers where the strength drops to
nearly nothing when within a hundred or so feet of them and I have
trouble communicating.
