Steve,
You are correct about the Cantenna. That circuit is simply an RF detector that
indicates relative output.
I believe you can use any RF probe you can find as long it was designed to work
with a VTVM or DMM that has at least a 10 megohm input. You can make an adapter
to interface it to your particular meter or just install the proper mating
connector.
