HW9 paint

Actually, Heath used at least 5 shades of green on the
SB-Line cabinets ranging from a pretty "awful" (in my
opinion) almost lime green to a shade of gray that has
just a "hint" of green (actually is more of a "blue"
than green).
Units bought at the same time often did not have
cabinet colors that actually matched! I really don't
have any idea as to why Heath didn't control the
colors any better, but they didn't. Also, the green
on the panels of the SB-Line had at least 3 different
shades of green! Again, units bought at the same time
didn't always match.
If you have the brand name and number of a particular
shade of color that you like, then you can call around
to various paint stores and see if they stock it!
Myself, I now use a paint gun and have my colors
computer matched at my local Sherwin Williams store.
Although I started out using latex enamel, I now only
use latex acryllic. The enamel runs about $10 a quart
and the acryllic runs about $11 a quart but is much
"harder" in its finish. However, you do need to have
some sort of paint gun to use this paint unless your
particular store has the ability to "fill" spray cans
(which some do).
WalMart actually has one of the best selections of
spray paint these days (better than most paint
stores). I would take a trip there and see if you can
find a paint that pretty much matches your HW-9. If
not, then you can see if your local paint store can
fill spray cans and use a computer matched paint. I
have found at WalMart some "off the shelf" paints that
come real close to those paints used by the
manufacturers.
