Pot shaft binding

It's possible that the wiper is sticking also. Try Radio Shack for
tuner cleaner and try to spray inside the pot. You may have to
replace it.

What is the best stuff to lubricate a pot shaft that is binding?
Suspect it has sprnt some time in cold storage.  WD-40 helped and it
is movable but not free.  Thanks for any suggestions,
