I asked the following question ....

Ok, I'm new to all of this ... What is the best receiver to pair with a
SB-401?  Any opinions?  Thank you.

I received 17 replies, 15 favored the 301 over the 303, 2 had 303's.
Nine said that the 303 was fussy, with additional comments about the 303's
front end overload problem.
Five commented that the 301 was the perfect match with the 401.
Two commented that they had gotten rid of their 301's, (for different
reasons) and wish they had not.
