Subject Heathkit HX-11 transmitter.

Greetings all,

I recently set out to find an e-version of the users manual for the
Heathkit HX-11 transmitter.

I did not get the manual, but I did get a copy of the schematic diagram.
The scan of the diagram i got was rotated 90 degrees, and had a few
blemishes which I set about to correct. And in so doing, I noticed that
some part values were a little difficult to read. Specifically, one of the
three series inductors used in the output low-pass filter looked as if it
had a decimal point whereas the other two did not. I suspected it to be
just a dust speck. So, I wrote back the nice fellow who supplied me with
that diagram, and ask him what he thought. He told me that he was not sure
and subjected that I make a post here. - Which is what I am doing.

Oh, he also told me that while the HX-11 diagram showed values in MH
(presumably Millihenries), The DX-60 (which he believes uses the identical
output filter) shows these parts to be labeled with microheneries. So, you
can see that the plot has thickened.

So, you see what I need to know? What are the correct values for L6, L7 and
L5?

Does anyone know of any errors in this diagram that I should be aware of?

I would like to finish touching up the diagram and making it as nice as I
can.

And of course I would still like to get my hands on a complete e-copy of
the manual.

If anyone would like a copy of what I have, just drop me an email and I
will be happy to send you one.

I hope to hear from some of you soon in order to clear up the confusion
over these part values.

And I will resist sending out copies until this "value" issue has been
resolved.

Sincerely,
