CT-1 Capaci-Tester question

Hi All,

I have a friend that has an old CT-1 Capaci-Tester, it seems operational
and in good shape. I was wondering if these can still be used in todays
mostly "Solid-State" equipment, or are the test voltages that this unit
puts out too high for such equipment.
