HT-40?

Hello Friends:

I picked up a Hallicrafters HT-40 transmitter.

It loads up ok...the only problem is the smoke coming from plate resistor on
the Modulator tube...and the overheated and cracked 7 watt resistor in the
power supply.....

The schematic I got with the rig has some significant different component
values.

Don't know if ' mickey mouse ' tried to fix it...or it's a legimate factory
mod....the number on my schematic is 089 - 002030 B.

Any and all suggestions are warmly welcome.
