Try the "satin" finish.  That is about half-way
between gloss and flat.  I use satin finish for all of
the computer matched paint that I get for boat anchor
cabinets from Sherwin-Williams.  It usually looks
pretty much "right on" to the original finishes.

Most cans of spray paint are available in satin
finish.
