Use vegetable Cooking oil. I have 2 Cantenna's and one has mineral oil and the other has vegetable cooking oil in it, I have ran 700 watts through the vegetable with out any trouble, and I am sure it will handle more.
I to was looking for mineral oil for the 2nd cantenna but could not find any. I was on a web site and read that another Ham use vegetable oil and its beem working just great.

I have a small quart size homebrew "Cantenna", and I use motor oil in it. I
only run 100 watts into it, but it works fine.

Subject: "Cantenna" With Motor Oil?

For some bizzare reason, mineral oil is very hard to come by in my county.
Some ham says he actually uses motor oil for his homebrew "Cantenna"...:

...and I was wondering if anyone had ever tried this with the Heathkit
Cantenna.

Thanks,
