For what it's worth, my SB-301 manual (eb*y special) included a letter from
Heath dated October 30,1967, stating that the LMO changed from P/N 100-32 to
P/N 100-40.  Included in the change was a shift in price from $65.30 to
$72.70 and from tube type 6BZ6 (rf amp) to 6CB6 (LMO).  It suggested that
the schematic and manual be updated accordingly.

SB 301 users,

 In the main Shematic it says to use a 6BZ6 in the LMO and in the LMO
Shematic on page 95 it says to use a 6CB6..I wonder which is the proper one
to use.????
