Mainly depends on what it is, for the most part
they're worth much more in the unassembled state,
but if its a trival item like a door chime, or something
on that order then there problably isn't much
difference.
I personally couldn't stand to have a unbuilt
Heathkit sitting in front of me, I'm weak I know. ;^)
