HW-100 & HW-101 paint

I know that I've seen comments about the lack of consistency of Heath's paint but does anyone know when Heath used wrinkle type paint vs. flat for these models? The HW-100 that I have has wrinkle type paint although the bottom pan appears a brighter shade. My HW-101 (10 years newer) has a smooth finish, but not glossy like my DX-60A etc. NOTE: all of my radios were bought used so I can't be sure the cabinets have not been switched.
