Neil -

No, the "blob of solder" is the old Amphenol  75MC1F.   By the way, a
UHF coax connector will work for one of these in a pinch.  Threads,
spacing, etc are all same.   Possibly why it was used on a lot of TV
Repair signal generators and scopes.

The two pin was used on a LOT of Heath gear for a mic connector, some
Johnson, etc.  They had brown phenolic insulation.  They were also used
on the Browning-Drake (NO relation!) CB gear.  You can still find them
at some of the bigger truck stops!  You can see a picture of most of

Not realistic pricing, but pictures anyway!  :-)

The "current" mic connectors with the black plastic insulation, many of
which use 8 pins now, are the ones you referenced from RP Electronics.
