Most Accurate Clock

Ray and Heath team;
My GC-1000 clock started to do the same thing. I did a receiver alignment on it and that really "perked" it up. I believe (just can't remeber and I don't have the manual in front of me), that the Receiver IF is 455kc. I set my signal generator to 455kc and peaked the IF transformers and found they were off. I then set the generator to 5, 10 and 15 mhz and aligned the receiver front end coils. They were also off. After that, the clock worked much much better!! Big difference. Pull out your schematic and locate the IF and RF coils and using a stable/accurate signal generator, give them a "tweak". you'll be amazed at the difference.
