HD 1250 grid dip meter

I have a hd1250 gridip meter, and the power switch is round, I have seen
others for sale with a square power switch. Anyone know which would be older?
 Also this one, the black foam in the lid of the case is just starting to go
bad which I understand is quite common. Just curious............dennis
