ICM acquires Sentry crystals

Those of us who purchased a number of crystals for HF and VHF equipment in the 1960s and 1970s will remember Sentry crystals ads in ARRL's QST, CQ and Ham Radio magazines. - w9gb

International Crystal Manufacturing, Inc. (ICM) has purchased Sentry Manufacturing, of Chickasha, Oklahoma effective March 15, 2005. This acquisition was conducted to help ICM better serve our customer base by expanding our product line, production capabilities, technical abilities, customer base, and market presence.

Since 1967, Sentry Manufacturing has operated as both a manufacturer and broker of quartz crystals, oscillators, and filters. Sentry Manufacturing and ICM have historically served many of the same customers and markets. ICM has often supplied the short-lead time components to a customer and Sentry Manufacturing has supplied the extended lead-time components to the same customer.
