The brushed aluminum knobs of the same design are much
more common than the chrome plated ones.  When
polished and coated with clear Krylon the brushed
aluminum ones look very good.  Not quite as bright as
the chrome plated ones, but still look good.

Have you considered using the brushed aluminum
versions?
