Hi folks --

Several have asked about the current status of the
parting-out-the-working-SB104A adventure. Here's what's available currently.
The goal is not to make a pile of money but instead to get these parts out
there where they will be of use to other fans of the green. Thus, most any
reasonable (but not ridiculous, please) offer will be cheerfully accepted.

Best way to ship the smaller items and boards seems to be via Priority Mail,
which runs about $5 with delivery confirmation for a small box. Bigger ones
are probably a little more to ship.

If you've got any questions about any of these, drop me a note and I'll try
to answer.

Thanks,

Steve AA4BW

Switch assemblies:

(1) Push button switch assembly (with black buttons)(meter, 400hz, etc)
(2) Other push button switch assembly (with black buttons) (mode, etc)
(3) Band switch assembly components: shaft, collar, detent, and the
two-wafer switch assembly that mounts on the aluminum subpanel
(4) AGC switch assembly: switch, hardware, shaft, shaft collar
(5) "COM/SEP" slide switch (on back panel)

Boards:

(6) Display board, with displays and all ICs. When rig was in use, it seemed
to work fine once it warmed up for a couple of minutes.
(7) Converter Circuit Board, in enclosure with top and hardware
(8) VFO FIL board
(9) A Board, counter board
(10) C board, transmitter IF board
(11) E board, carrier gen/xtal filter board, includes CW filter
(12) F board, receiver IF/audio board
(13) G Board, receiver front end board
(14) K board, ALC/OUTPUT board
(15) RF power amp board
(16) Main heatsink with diode

and

(17) D Board, HFO/premixer board -- this is the only board that I know has a
couple of issues, as follows: When I got the rig, one of the 10-meter
heterodyne oscillator segments would not oscillate - I believe it was the 29
mhz one. Also, when last checked, I found that there are now two 10 meter
segments that won't oscillate (the 28 mhz segment and the 29 mhz segment).
As I mentioned, one of those (can't recall which) has been a problem with
the rig since I got it; the other used to work but now doesn't - perhaps an
alignment or pin connection issue. The other issue with this board is that
one of the coils, L405, was missing when I got it; that of course rendered
the 21 mhz band inoperative. I moved an identical coil from the 29 mhz
segment to the 15 meter position, checked that it worked, but never aligned
it further. Bottom line: two of the 10 mhz segments probably have issues,
and the 15 meter coil on this board needs alignment.

Major assemblies:

(18) VFO assembly
(19) Two Jackson Bros. reduction drives for VFO

(21) Metal trim strips that go along side of cabinet
(22) Aluminum shields that go between plug-in circuit boards
(23) Aluminum chassis left side panel
(24) Aluminum chassis right side panel
(25) Main chassis
(26) Rear panel
(27) Other aluminum chassis parts

Other parts:

(28) Pair of 417-162 transistors (Q1 and Q2), with sockets, mica washers,
hardware
(29) VOX GAIN pot
(30) AF GAIN pot
(31) RF GAIN pot
(32) MIC/CW level control pot
(33) VOX DELAY pot
(34) Sidetone pot (back panel)
(35) Antivox pot (back panel)
(36) Front panel mic connector
(37) Headphone jack with knurled nut
(38) S-meter
(39) Coaxial wiring harness (ends cut close to terminals where they
connected)
(40) Regular wiring harness (ends cut close to terminals where they
connected, or have push-connectors on end of wire)
(41) 16 ohm, 24 watt resistor (R14) and hardware
(42) Relay RY. The leads to the relay have been clipped close to the
terminals but not removed from the terminals
