HW-9 & DFD-2

Isn't the HW-9 a direct-conversion receiver? Or a 
single-conversion super-het?

The AADE DFD-2 is designed to count the BFO, VFO and HET 
oscillators of say a SB-301 or 75S3 and calculate the 
operating frequency. I have one on my SB-301/-401 and it 
works very well. But it won't work at all on the HW-9.

Maybe a version of their DFD-1 or -3 will work. Send them an
