ss-9000 demo program

As team leader on the SS-9000 development, I can definitively say that 
it was not a clone or related to the FT-747. As another writer 
commented, the SB-1400 was the 'FT-747 clone'.  I don't remember what we 
choose for the command protocol for the SS-9000 nor (unfortunately) do I 
have an SS-9000 but I remember vaguely remember it as being a simple 
ASCII based serial RS-232 protocol.  Terry Purdue who is (or was) on 
this list was the synthesizer and controller wiz on the SS-9000 project 
and maybe he remembers. The general protocol should be buried in the 
manual someplace and one of the computer guys should be able to put 
something together.
