HP-23 Circuit Breaker

Why won't a fuse work. The SB-401 has essentially the same power supply and
a fuse works fine there. As they did on the original (non A / B) HP-23.

Some years ago I found a HP-23 CB at a wholesale electrical supply store but
the transaction was strictly off-the-books since they weren't supposed to
sell (or give away) to private individuals.
