FWIW:

Before making a trip to Radio Shack, I always look up the parts I need on
their website.  When I walk in with a list of stock numbers, even the most
inept employees can usually find the parts!  Something I learned the hard
way, after going in a few times when the only person on duty was a kid who
just started the day before ......
