Yes - it was interesting to see it at Dayton. I wish you a lot of luck -
it isn't going to be easy.

How about starting with a CR-1? I got one for my 9th birthday - the
first of MANY Heathkits. That is what got me, and a lot of others I
know, hooked on radio. The fact that you could listen to a radio that
had NO batteries!

I think it would be great to offer some "beginner" kits - test gear and
station accessories. I have had a LOT of fun building various small kits
- NorCal SMK-1, Small Wonder PSK-20, K1EL keyers and various Elecraft.
How about a panadapter that you could use with an oscilloscope and any
radio. A remote reading wattmeter with a USB interface. Stuff that is
unique - things that maybe the ONLY way to get it is to build a kit.
Some took me years between purchase and building due to schedule
conflicts - but they were ALL a lot of fun.

You didn't read ALL the way through the site...it's at the bottom of the
"detailed info" page.

Around $3K for the base rig, then up from there with all the various
options. Take heart, though. I plan to spin off some cheaper stuff from
the
fancy rig just like Heath used to do -- think HW-101 vs. SB-101. Gotta
start
somewhere though.
