no idea where that thought came from.   In the case of light bulbs, they 
say it is easier on them to leave them on than to be turning them on and 
off and on and off....       the cost of the electricity is the
biggest reason theyre turned off ....    unless youre like some of us 
husbands who are always forgetting to turn them off  HI HI  (of you have 
kids at home)
