I have had pretty fair luck using Scientific Anglers Dacron fly line backing, 30 -40 pound test or so. Also if you know a fiddler, steal some of the rosin he uses on the bow. a chunk from a music store will be enough to treat every dial cord on the planet............sure does help stop the slipping.

Hello again, where can I get the string that is used in the SB-401? It's the
string that used to change frequency.. So far I've tried using Fire line
fishing line and masons string, The masons line is a bit to big and the fishing
line slippes both are no good. Any ideas?/?
