Caution..
Air flow may be required at any time the filaments is applied to this
type of tube (metal/ceramic), or you "may" run the risk of damaging the
seal(s) that separate the various sections of the tube, ie any metal to
glass/ceramic interfaces..

I wonder what piece of Hetahkit equipment this was used in?
I don't remember them using a 4X150A in anything at all.
You could use a tube tester, or if you don't have one, find someone who
has one that will measure that tube. Most testers don't but some of the
better Hickok ones might.
Other than that you can hook up filament power and then see if you can
get some emission from connecting a high voltage power supply between
the cathode and the anode. That is all a tube tester does anyway.
measure the cathode current with a DC ammeter.
Chances are if it has good emission that it works fine.
What do you intend to do with it? Maybe build an RF amplifier for your
Heath radios?

I came across an Eimac 7034/4X150A PA tube and need some help in
determining whether it is good or bad. Does anyone have a simple way to
test the tube, short of installing in a rig that uses the tube? It
appears to be new, and the package is marked that way. I have a limited
collection of test gear.
Thanks.
