heath hw-101 question

The diagram for the HW 100, from a power point of view, should be the same 
as the HW101. The HW 12 has an 8 pin power connector and the HW101 has an 11 
pin.
BAMA has the information on the HP 23. If you have an HW 12A, then the pin 
outs should be the same as the HW 100/HW 101.  You could make up a small 
adaptor or just buy a new cable. One of the vendors on E-bay has the proper 
connectors including the very hard to find 8 conductor high voltage power 
cable. That is  the way I went. I have one cable for each series of radio.

Please note that the HW 101 needs a different Low B+ voltage. I believe it 
requires 300 volts where as the HW 12 uses 250 volts. There is a tap in the 
HP23 that you have to change to switch voltages. The later versions of the 
HP 23 power supplies have a switch for this function. The HW 101 will 
receive OK with the lower voltage but the screen voltages for the 6146s will 
not be optimum and perhaps even cause distortion (not sure because I always 
run the correct voltage).

While you are at it, check the voltages on the High B+. It should be over 
800 volts no load and sag to no less than 700 under load. Any voltage below 
that value probably means the electrolytic caps have to be replaced. Same 
thing goes for the Low B+.  The HP 23 supplies are now quite old and should 
be re-caped if the original metal can electrolytics are still there. If you 
a white residual powder around the leads of the caps, they are leaking and 
should be replaced ASAP.  Exploded electrolytics do smell awful! I've not 
been able for find a source for these twist lock caps, so other caps have be 
used which have a different form factor.

could someone direct me or answer a question on the hw-101 , I am trying to 
set up power supply wiring from a
hp-23 to the hw-101, this power supply is used on my HW 12, , need to know 
is the pin settings are the same for power cord? on the HW-101 as the HW 12, 
don't have a manual and Bama doesn't have the diagram for this.
If you have the diagram for the HW 101 , would greatly appreciate it.
