Heath "O" rings

Not that it makes any difference but I purchased my HW100 on Jun 29,1970 
and it has the original rings, tubes and such. I haven't fired it up for 
several years, I looked at the rings just a few moments ago and they are 
still working and not cracked. I wonder why the ones I received lasted 
and so many did not??  Now that it is down, ONWARD to the bench and get 
it in shape again.
