sb 220 10 meter not working

NOT to worry!

I believe that if one gets frustrated early on one cannot think clearly to
see the simple things first.

Here is what I think happened to you !

You carefully placed this unit in storage however you forgot one thing.

WHENEVER you place ANYTHING into storage ::::::::::::
ALWAYS take a piece of paper and right down where all of the switches are
set to.

I have had the same problem. The answer is that the position that that
rotary switch was in when stored has oxidized due to dampness bridging that
particular contact
position. Moisture IE Dampness always happens MORE
in a closed position. Smaller air gap easier path to acquire
condensation leading to oxidation.

I know as that exact thing happened to a rig some guy threw away in my
direction.
His throwaway set for 20 years !!!!

SOLUTION?

Went to local electronics superstore.

I have a strange problem.  Had my sb 220 in storage for 2 years and before
storing it - "it worked excellent on all bands".  It no longer works on 10
meter but works fine on all the other bands?  The Band Selector looks fine
nothing visibly blown ...very confused!
