Heathkit HP 23 Power Supplies

The HP-23 (plain model) has a hard wire "tap" to
change the low B+ between 250 volts and 300 volts.
The other models have a switch to change this.

Since none of the Heath equipment that you have listed
use 6.3 volts for the heater/filament voltage and
since they do not require a variable bias adjustment
then any of the HP-23 and the PS-23 models will work
so long as you are running them from 120 VAC. If you
need 240 VAC then the various later models have 120
VAC / 240 VAC input whereas the early model does not.

The later models have only a 12.6 volt heater/filament
voltage and a fixed bias. However, they do have 120
VAC / 240 VAC input capabilities but this is
accomplished with a hard wire change.

To use the HP-23 series on equipment like the Collins
S-Line you do need the variable bias although that
equipment can be used with a 12.6 VAC heater/filament
due to jumper changes in the power connector.

Can the one PS-23 and four HP-23 models be operated
with the HW-100, HW-101, SB-100, SB-101 and SB-102
models or is there a minor difference in the power
supplies that prevents them from being used
interchangeably?
