Zenith VCR help

Gentlemen of the Green,

I'm trying to get a Zenith "Video Director Beta III/II" VCR working.  But
alas, I have no diagrams to work from.  This was Heath's first VCR sold
via catalog. It appeared just after Zenith bought Heath from Slumberger
back in, are you ready, 1968! I'm guessing this thing is a 1970's
vintage.  

Anyway, anyone have service data, schematics, etc for it?  I know it's
Beta - the BEST vcr format, but one cannot convert tapes to DVDs without
a player.
