Below is my original post regarding this issue to which many responded. This
is just to let everyone know that I received the Russian chips which were
purchased on eBay from Alexer1 on March 17 and can attest that they do in
fact work. Therefore the 7441 can indeed be replaced by the 74141 Russian
equivalent K155ID1. Note: only 2 weeks delivery from Ukraine.

Subject: [HEATH-TEMPE] Nixie driver chip question
I have three Heathkit frequency counters, IB-1100, IB-1101 & IB-1103 plus
the SB-650 Digital Display used with my HW-100 and they all use 7441B driver
chips for the Nixie tubes. The 7441B's are scarce or almost non-existent and
since they can be a high failure item I placed an order for the Russian
K155ID1 which is supposed to be a full equivalent to the 74141 chip which I
thought to be a replacement to the 7441B. I came across a website listing
truth tables for the 7441, 7441A, 7441B, 74141 chips and there are
differences. Is there anyone who has used a substitution for the 7441B or
knows if the differences in these chips have any impact on these counters?
73 & tnx,
