AM reception

When doing that with my HW-100 and while using an SB-650 digital readout the
frequency displayed is no longer accurate. example: if  I tune for 3.880 and
place the switch "in-between" it now reads 7.2766 - not very useful for
tuning. The same frequency of 7.2766 appears on my SB-650 when I remove the
BFO input to the counter while having the HW-100 mode switch in a "normal"
position. I would have to study the schematic to better understand the
impacts of the signals from the HW-100 to the SB-650 to see if there would
be a way to compensate and allow the counter to display the correct
frequency.
